Note: Central School Age PM Latchkey provides services for students in grades 1-4 and attending Central Elementary.
Latchkey services are housed at the Cardinal's Nest, located at 1490 North Oak Road in the Cardinal Center. Afternoon services begin at the end of the school day and run until 6pm. Transportation is provided from the Central to the Cardinal's Nest, parents must complete a transportation form and notify Central's office of your child's schedule.
After care is available Monday through Friday on student days, a minimum enrollment of 2 days per week is required.
During latchkey, staff oversee and engage with children, exposing them to learning activities, arts and crafts, sports, games and outdoor play in a developmentally appropriate environment.
A one time pre-registration fee (per school year) and completion of a pre-registration packet is required before services can begin. There are 10 sessions per school year, students must register for each individual session in order to attend. Registration deadlines are approximately 1-2 weeks before each session begins. Pre-registration and subsequent tuition/session payments are processed online through the Davison Community Schools/DCER website. All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration and prior to the start of each session. Refunds will not be issued to students who withdraw after the payment deadline and/or no shows. Partial refunds/credits will not be given once a student has already attended a session. All payments received after the deadline will result in a $10 late fee.
